Junior Wolves Shine at CHS State Championships & PSSA

It was a massive week for Wallsend Touch’s junior players and referees, with club members representing both NSW CHS (Catholic High Schools) at the State Championships and Hunter Region at PSSA (Primary Schools Sports Association). The results speak for themselves — our juniors are flying.

CHS State Championships — Players

Seven Wallsend players were selected to represent CHS at the NSW State Championships:

Kruze T, Cruz E, Kai, Sam, Tarek, Tyler and Jai

The CHS team had an outstanding tournament, going all the way and taking out the championship. A brilliant result for the boys — well deserved after all the hard work put in.

But it didn’t stop there. All seven boys were selected in the NSW All Schools team to represent the state at the All Schools Australia Championships, to be held in Newcastle in October. To be selected individually after winning the title is an incredible honour — and having all seven named is something the whole club should be incredibly proud of.

CHS State Championships — Referees

Two Wallsend juniors also stepped up to officiate at the CHS State Championships — Kaelen and Harrison.

In a standout moment of the week, Kaelen was selected to officiate the grand final — CHS vs CIS. To referee the decider at a state championship is an extraordinary achievement for a junior official and reflects the quality of refereeing coming through at Wallsend. Massive congratulations to both Kaelen and Harrison.

PSSA — Hunter Region Representatives

Five young Wolves were also selected to represent the Hunter Region at PSSA: Jodeci, Oaklee, Lexi, Jett and Orlando.

Representing your region at PSSA is a proud achievement for any young player, and these five should be incredibly proud of what they’ve accomplished.

A Week to Remember

When you look at what this group achieved in a single week — a state title, seven NSW All Schools selections, a grand final referee appointment, and five regional representatives — it’s a powerful reminder of the depth of talent coming through Wallsend Touch.

The future of the Wolves is very bright. Congratulations to every one of you. 🐺
