Turn Pre-Season Into Game Time
Coming in 2027, Wallsend Touch Association is opening its fields to Newcastle Rugby League clubs for a six-week pre-season Touch Football program. Men’s and women’s teams are welcome.
From grassroots clubs to the NRL, Touch Football is a favourite rugby league pre-season tool. Every game rewards the things that win league matches: quick hands, sharp decisions, line speed and constant talk. Your players get real minutes under real pressure, without the contact load of a full session.
It builds the team too. New recruits and returning players learn each other’s habits, the communication gets louder every week, and by kick-off your squad is fitter, sharper and playing for each other.
Places are limited, so get your team in early.
What Your Team Gets
6 Monday Nights
One night a week for six weeks at Wallsend, running alongside our Autumn competition. Easy to slot into your pre-season schedule.
Skills & Education
Each week opens with a short session on Touch skills, rules, movement and game concepts. The footwork, support play and spatial awareness carry straight into league.
Competitive Games
Then it’s game on. Regular games with referees, field supervision and all equipment provided, so your squad just turns up and competes.
A Ball For Every Team
Each team receives a Touch Football to use throughout the program. Perfect for warm-ups and extra touches at training.
Minimal Cost
Players only need the standard annual NSWTF/TFA membership. Big pre-season value for a small outlay.
Integrated Community
Play alongside existing Wallsend Touch players and soak up the atmosphere of a social, inclusive club on a busy Monday night.
